This page describes how Advanced Reports for Jira handles your data. Our privacy policy covers everything else, including your rights and how to contact us.

Data storage

In the Standard Edition, and with Local Insights in the Advanced Edition, the app doesn’t store any work items or other data from your Jira site: everything is calculated in your browser.

With Cloud Insights in the Advanced Edition, the work items and fields you select are copied to a dedicated database for your site, as described under Generating reports and executing SQL queries below and in the data handling FAQ.

The app stores configuration (such as SQL queries and reports) in its database.

All data is stored in certified databases:

  • ISO 27001 (Security Management Controls)
  • ISO 27017 (Cloud Specific Controls)
  • ISO 27018 (Personal Data Protection)
  • SOC 1, 2, 3 (Security, Availability & Confidentiality Reports)

Any API keys and other secret data is encrypted with industry standard symmetric encryption.

Generating reports and executing SQL queries

For the Standard Edition (and Local Insights in Advanced), all computations are performed in the browser, and no data from Jira is transmitted to the server at any time. For the Advanced Edition, Cloud Insights utilize a secure, dedicated server-side database to process and store data for high-performance querying and dashboard widgets. The cloud infrastructure is powered by MotherDuck, which maintains strict trust, security, and compliance standards including SOC 2 Type 2.

Statistics

The app uses Mixpanel to track usage statistics and Rollbar.com to track data related to bugs and crashes.
